Thumbs up Glad Seeing The Water Clearing!

Took a bit to find 'em but once I did it didn't take long to see the 1/32nds wasn't getting it done so I re-tied everything to 1/16ths fishing in 13'-17' of water and it was ON!

Today was a good morning for fishing. The sun peeked out a few times but for the most part it stayed cloudy and light breezes. Brought home 5 smaller fish to eat off the bone (scaled) and the rest were solid filleting sizes. Hopefully tomorrow will be as good as today....or better.

Thanks guys. Yesterday was fun and today was even better. Only thing I hate is the guy and his son I promised a trip to couldn't make either day this week. Lots of big fish both days but today topped yesterday easily. I finished a solid limit (30 good fish) today at 9:30AM and since the sun came out and it got hot I called it a day. Total catch today was 55 fish. Here's a picture of two of the bigger fish.

Now that's the Crappie killer that I knew Butch to be when I joined this forum. Great report for both days Butch.
One question, do you ever start out with two size jigs, like 1\32 and 1/16 to see which is best?

Ray, I usually have my mind made up on the size jigs I wanna fish when I'm in the backyard. That's not to say I wont change a few out on the lake or sometimes I'll change all of 'em out. I usually fishing early mornings and alot of times I'll see fish hitting bait on the top. That's when I want light jigs even though I might see fish on the graph 13' down. IMO I think the fish hitting the top are the aggressive ones. Sometimes they are...and sometimes they arent. I ALWAYS watch my graph though. I'm a firm believer the fish look up so as long as the jigs are running above the fish I feel I'm good. I don't know how much a crappie feels vibrations from their lateral lines but I have seen stripers on the graph come up 45 feet to take a bait. I don't thnk the jigs have to be in a crappie's face to get him to bite as long as theyre above them and youre in aggressive feeding fish. And if I'm marking fish and they aint bitinge then I don't stick around...I move somewhere else to fish and come back later.
