    Default Foggy start @ LP 05 03 19

and the GPS doesn't work. Managed a couple of nice ones before the fog burned off. Farmed two big fish - really wanted to see them.

The females look egg laden. Nice catch.

Nice fish, starting to see more hybrids lately. You must be feeling better since you've been out two days in a row.

I think he’s just trying to make us jealous Jim, and it’s workin! Great colors on some of those Sonny. That one fish has been in a fight with something. Bloody side and a worn tail. I get to fish with my bestest fishin buddy in the morning. Camryn and I don’t get much time with each other so I’m making the best of it. The river is low and the fish are out in the river instead of back out in the woods. Wish us luck.

So, I'm just going to go totally vagabond fisherman. These pictures have just set me off. I'm gonna gas up the new Tundra, hook up the Alweld, and give my responsibilities the finger, and hit the road on a multi-week fishing trip! Thats the TICKET!

Leave ATL GA and hit Blackshear with the CDC crew. Next stop Lake Talquin - then up thru AL to Weiss - Guntersville - over to MS Grenada - stop for a po-boy and hit the fine LA fisheries, then on to TX and Lake Houston (hopefully go with SK) - and on across this fine land of the best crappie waters on the planet. Final destination: Havasu and Lake Perris. Then turn it around and fish my way back.

    Sigh. A man can dream.

Thnx guys - I always appreciate the comments

Stan - mixed band of pre & post spawn fish. I like to fish staging areas in deeper water. If you know where the beds are - you should find where the fish go to feed before and after the spawn.
JJ - got to bite the bullet sometimes. Got a bunch of rain coming, need to find those molds!!! The box is getting empty...
Tim - thnx. Think you're trying to make me jealous - " I get to fish with my bestest fishin buddy in the morning". Hope you guys load the boat.
jjt - we got big Crappie too - nobody fishes for them. Saw 2 nice ones (16" -17") caught yesterday - guys were fishing for Bluegill - around the pictures with trees.
nl - fortunate to have water where the fish don't stop eating.
Ketchn - thnx, each one is like a painting - hard to keep any. On UL gear it is awesome.
