    Well since they have been trying to lower the lake most of this year the crappie have been strange and think some spawned early, the rest just picked their time and all the wile most were out in deeper water. I know a month ago I caught some in 20 foot of water maybe 8 to 10 feet down. It's been a very strange year here, but really the last 4 springs has been ruined due to floods and such!

    The females we are catching are still full of eggs. Spawn may have started here in Central Texas but lots are not done. Water temp 58-62.

    depends on the lake and the species of crappie in lots of cases . that particular lil lake has been done for a good while now . but that said one must remember that there are always some dumb fish in the herd that just cant seem to get with the program .
