Great trip. Had a good time with the Dawgg and his trainee. Thanks Kurt and Daniel for coming out. Caught bout the smae as Dawgg. Just took me a while to come back to em. Old people ! We moved a couple times but came back to the start. Tightlining and longlining at the same time is tough. But we had it working. Sometimes had four on at once. Could be on long line or minners or both. It was just working. We had bout the same luck as Dawgg. Brought home 30. bout that in throwbacks. Maybe 10-15 small stripers that would jerk your string for sure. Jake never caught stripers before and it was a new treat,. Told him wait till we get a big one ! Ready to do it again soon. If you never been to The Rock ,It is worth the trip. Dawgg ,I think that was a pair of channel locks I was using back there Fri. evening I was tighting up the rod holders. Must have left em there. Glad they missed everybody. Turkeyfoot and mac crappie were there also. Not sure what they had. Will find out Sat. at Wylie Crappie Fest. Ya'll come out for that.

Del started off with hooking into a large catfish that didn't want to be boated and broke off about 20 feet or so from the boat. Sure was glad of that seeing he was in the middle of all the lines out. Then he got into the hang of crappie catching. He was hooked from then on. Only skill left to master is don't reel them in so far. We had a good time picking up a fish here and there and talking about all sorts of stuff. We stayed in the first spot we set up in while the other boats went different direction only to come back and catch up with us on the number of fish. Cloudy over cast was the ticket because as the sun broke through it was all but over. We managed to get 30 keepers and threw that many back. Kept one catfish for Mrs. Laura along with a bunch of crappies. Had a wonderful time fishing with Delbert and meeting up and seeing the crowd again. I do want to mention to Mac Crappie that this is a no wake zone, He knows what that means now!
