This is what I love about UL angling. No bluegill today but a couple of these made the day for me.

That’s a nice Smallmouth, get a weight or measurement on him? Cherokee is chock full of those high fliers. They are bedding here now, lots of Bass guys catching them.

Had an 18 and a 19 inch...and some smaller ones. The bass guys didn’t do as well today. The Trout Magnet will flat catch some Smallies. The bite was few and far between for those fishing and the bite was extremely light. I used the Finezza to catch one and the Corto for the other one. I’ll get the video up in a day or two. If you get a chance check it out and look at the bend in the rods. On one rod I was using Varivas 2.5# test with an FC leader tied with a 3 turn surgeons knot. I got to say.....I was proud to land that fish on that setup.

Those fish are fun, no doubt. I caught a few in the river by then ball fields in downtown Manchester. Sounds like a fun day.

Creek bronze backs are the bomb , I used to chase a few when I was a kid up north , and rock bass are some pretty bad packages as well . Many a rock bass slammed a big bait trolling rocky shorelines as I remember .
    Congrats on them ketches bro

I didn’t see the smallness til just now, and WOW is all I can say. Very nice fish. My earlier comment was about the rock bass that though I have had limited experience with are one of the favorites in the mixed bag I always seem to pursue.

Thanks for the comments guys. The bluegill bite is just not quite ready here. I’ve fished 3 lakes this past week and the bluegill bite is almost nonexistent. But.....with temps at or near 80 the past 2 days it shouldn’t be long now.

    Regards
