Default Lake Wylie Scouting reports for the Crappiefest

Well the Three Amigos are heading out tomorrow and fishing different creeks to start scouting out for the Crappiefest. We should have scouting reports here in the next 10 days.

Seems you were responsible for 1/3 of it. I'm guessing that was the "where not to fish" part based on your former book on fishing Wylie.
( Gotta take up for my buddy Oldfart)

The Fart can defend himself, from up to 100 yds away!

    Lol How true.

    Yesterday's adventure.
We all started in different creeks. Doug was in Catawba, Brettw in Crowders and I was in Beaver Creek. We all saw the same thing first 90 minutes it was good after that it was stragglers time. I had 5 on the same time first time that happen. 3 perch one bass and one crappie. Talk about frantic panic. after that it died down.
I went to Studman and did not like what I saw. Went to Crowders and saw the same thing but decided to wet the lines. You sure do meet strange characters out the on the lake. He was hollering something about hitman jigs.

Not much in Crowders so I decided to go to my honey hole brush pile and nothing there. Went to Torrence and saw the same thing so I decided just for fun head up to Little Allison all the way back in the flats. There I decided to re calibrate my jigs and what depth the run. Ended up catching two in 10 feet of water. saw a fisherman there long line and he said the same thing. He caught them good first hour or so in the morning then died. Decided to troll back to the mouth of Little Allison and caught two more. Ended up with 12 good keepers, threw back 10 m0re and kept 4 good perch. It was a tough day. All the creeks I aw it was hard to find fish or bait on the chart. It was a definite straggler kind of day.

I need help from crappie experts. I got one crappie it looks a little starring. I get the pale look when deep but the color is off and scales look different. I know about shell crackers but this looks like the crappie sleeping with perch. Is this one of those apolitical mass confusin complete chaos where crappie sleeping with perch?

As for me i tried Torrence after Crowders.
No bait, no fish unless you run over brush.

I got one of those strange fish yesterday.
