If you were on trial for being a Christian would there be enough evidence to convict you??

In all seriousness, ive been told by many people who eat them that they taste just like scrambled eggs when sauteed in butter. I personally let all my female fish go this time of year, but have nothing against anyone who wants to eat them. Pretty high in Mercury and other heavy metal contaminates though

At my house we all eat them. We cut the egg sack open before dropping them in fish fry and then hot grease. We fry the last and put a cover on the pot just in cast one explodesl.

Have tried em but they taste like fish ! I ont like stuff that tastes real fishy ! I’ll stick to my 9 1/2-12” fillets rest of em usually get a pass ! Unless they deep hooked then they get a drink of sprite then set free if they make it which they usually do!
I still eat them occasionally. Breaded and fried. But definitely not for the faint of heart!

I coat them just like a fillet and deep fry them. Stick a fork in them before putting in deep fryer and they don’t pop as much. Egg sacks must be firm and no blood veins in them and your good to go. If they are runny, I don’t mess with them. Quite a delicacy.![]()

I too will have to take a HARD PASS on eating any type of fish eggs... but have known many who seem to eat and like 'em. I know many who won't eat any kind of liver or gizzards, saying, "I don't eat any kind of filter."
To each his own I reckon. In the south there are lots of people who like cracklins and chitlins too... but for me they are just a little too deep in the digestive tract for me.
