Congrats on a good day with dad and (both) of you sharing a fun day of catchin' slabs together. It won't be long until catching crappie will be like a second nature to you.
We will be looking forward to many good reports of your future fishing exploits. Thanks for sharing.

Many years ago my dad and I caught 30 average to small crappie on an Indiana lake. When we were done I asked if wanted to split them up, he said naw you take them.
So I took them and and started filleting for my first time with my Rapala non electric knife. It felt like hours til I was done and some of my fillets didn't look worthy of keeping but I did cause I'd worked hard on them. We fried them up the next night and just about serving time Dad showed up and said "do I smell Crappie". I said no Dad you smell Sucker.
    Great memories.

Haha that's a great story. I used a Rapala no electric too. My step dad said you dont have an electric filet knife and proceeded to show me his. Yeaj that would have been nice to have haha.

But my dad, who I caught these with, is allergic to fish for some reason so he was like you keep them all and let me know how they taste!
