Nice job Speck. Looks like the trip was well worth it.

There will be days when the fishing is better than one's most optimistic forecast, others when it is far worse. Either is a gain over just staying home.

Nice ones for sure. What was the method used? Rigging dipping long line? Friend from Vienna would like Tony and I to go.

Is that French? Doubt I could fish it if I can’t pronounce it?

    Glad you caught em!

We were mainly spider rigging jigs tipped with minnows. Any color combo of chartreuse. Fishing flats 11-15 feet deep 8-10 feet down. Caught our better fish on flats just off the main channel. Also several were caught casting a blue ice jig. Give a 5 count down then retrieve slowly. Try to keep the bait about 9 feet down. I took my long lining poles but didn’t try it with so much timber in the lake. There are a lot of “mats” folks have placed in the lake. Side scan is your friend

Great lake! I used to fish it a lot before we moved to Missouri.

That explains why you only fish for

    carp

    drum

    skunk

    beer

The fewer syllables the better, yeah?
