    Default Chocolate milk

Bite was slow at cane creek today but better than earlier in the week. Water was dark tea colored and fish were few cranks off the bottom in a creek mouth. Caught one decent sized and few just “ok”. Decided to head towards muddy shallow water and was pleasantly surprised. Went to 6fow and spider rigged 2ft below surface. Caught 19 crappie for the day and brought back 17.
Oh and even lucked across one that hit a minnow tipped baby crank pushed off the front.

Awesome that they were in that muddy water. A few years ago my dad and I were up in the hidden lake and caught dozens shooting one single dock in 3 feet of water when everyone else was trolling Creek channel!!!

Looking shallow seems to be the right choice on many lakes. Congrats on the day and catch and congrats on the crank crappie

Hmmmm, wonder if we should have looked shallow yesterday. We discussed it but didn’t go look. ProV and I went to High Rock and had a tough time finding them and getting them to bite. Tough day for sure. Glad you found them, good job.
