Lost drift socks
I lost an older style Cabelas 72 inch with the blue dump strap at Grenada a few years back. I used a harness with no float and I dropped the end of the harness and it sunk fast in the heavy wind. I went back 2-3 months later and was trolling in the marina and a friend of mine said there was a drift sock hung in a stake bed in the back and he couldn’t get it out. I went over and retrieved it. It wasn’t the one I lost, but it was a matching 72” old style Cabela’s sock just like the one I lost. Didn’t have a harness on it so I didn’t figure it was mine. I guess somebody might have taken the harness off because that thing was stuck tight in that stake bed. Took me quit awhile to get it out. I had bought a pair of the newer style 78 inchers with the yellow dump strap but still wound up with 2 matching sets.

Not sure what kind of umbrella Trypman had on his boat but I am pretty sure he will Strap it down better ,"if"I run his boat again .Maybe it will show up with all them socks on it .
