Default Crappie Fishing -- March 2nd -- Open Seat?

I was told to post in this forum from a member on the GON site. I feel I may be a little green to come on here asking for things but I pay my way and work my way if anyone is gracious enough or a guide has a spot. Below is pasted from the other website.

My wife is out of town and the In-Laws are watching the baby. I have Saturday wide open and would go with a guide if they have an open seat which I know is unlikely to have this late of notice, I'm the only fisherman if so fyi. If you are a private angler with open seat I'll pay gas and bring my own gear and buy all bait plus jigs. If you happen to be a duck hunter I can repay the favor with a trip to Arkansas. I can buy the beer or bring the water/cokes, either way I'm just taking a stab at a seat on a boat.

I'd love to try out Lake Allatoona as it is nearest me but I can travel ANYWHERE within 2-3 hours of Atlanta. I can bring a bait cooler with aerator and pretty much all my own stuff I think except a worthy boat. I may take my 1236 out if nothing happens. I can bring my own life jacket etc..

Edit to Guides: I'm open to pay for a full or half day if close enough.

    Thanks.

Well I found a seat with a guide from the other forum not long after this post...I'll post a thread of the outcome. The weather and water condistions aren't supposed to be good and I was told that so I'm just happy to get out, rain or rain and muddy or muddy water... I'm looking forward to learning more from this forum.

What an awesome offer! I love Oconee. I just had some buddies send me pics from their trip to Lake Taquin in FL crappie fishing and I got the fever.

I'm oddly excited to go to Allatoona this weekend even with river debris all over.

I have a very open work schedule after Noon most weekdays so I'll reach out to you soon. I'll drive to Oconee for an afternoon fishing trip in a heartbeat!

There is a guide on Hartwell that just crushes the Crappie day after day after day! His name is Rodney Donald. He is on Facebook and on the Lake Hartwell crappie catchers group on FB as well. If i were to hire a guide for crappie, it would be him. Every single day he is posting double limits of crappie. 3 months in a row right now. He knows his stuff, regardless of the weather or water conditions it seems he still catches limits.
