I have been fishing a few times these last two weeks and cannot locate the crappie. A bass fisherman friend of mine found them in the shallows 2 weeks ago, but then the cold front came through and they were gone. I fished the 155 bridge with differnt depths and did not find them. Then found some guys on a marina catching 1 every 30 minutes in 5 foot water. Has anyone had any luck? I am going tomorrow and not really sure where I should go, North or South.

Thank you Sir. I guess I should have said hello to everyone first. Anyway, they have been moving into shallow water over the last 2-3 weeks, but these cold fronts we keep having push them out. I am just not sure where they are. As I stated above, I met some guys that were catching them in 5-6 foot water, but they would catch one every 30 minutes roughly. I am going to try again this week at a friends boat house that is brushed (he puts about 20 Christmas Trees out every year) and see if I can get anything. That is 4-7 foot deep depending on where you fish. Will post if I get them. Not worried about people knowing just trying to help. Thanks and have a good day!
Usually when they come in here I find them in 6-7 foot of water and there they will stay all the while running to the bank to lay eggs every once in a while. I know they have to be trying and probably have since about the Super Bowl. I long line them in spring and I pull 1/32 Oz Roadrunners and or Pony head jigs. Have been doing this since the late 1970's, lol!
