well my wife want eat fish but it was enough for me to eat 4 times . i can eat 3 or 4 bowls of chicken stew but this is real hardy and 2 filles me up .

Well I made a batch of this yesterday to take to my friend's cabin for the week. I haven't tried it yet but I learned a lesson.
I need to find a market that you can buy individual items of produce. I had to buy 5# potatoes to get 4 potatoes, bag of carrots to get 2, huge bunch of celery to get 2 stalks. Sure ran the cost up. I'll let you know how it tastes.

This is a nice variation on the tomato based recipe. We cleaned the pot. Well worth the time to try it.
By the way this recipe serves 4 good helpings for hungry guys.
