Default Why we tell you to stay in the channel on Barnett

Took this pic of some of the reasons why staying in the channel markers is so important on Barnett. The lake is at an all time low while they try to contain some giant salvina. All of these are under water in most water conditions. Name: IMG_0315.jpg

Sounds like an excellent time to get out there and remove as much rebar as possible!

It’s an eye opener for sure and I thought I had a pretty good idea of what was where. I have seen a few isolated patches that I had no idea of. Makes you realize how either smart or stupid some of those bass guys are zooming around out of the channel. I guess though that if they are chasing those ditch pickles the first option must be out the window. Hehehe

That’s 3 1/2 foot deep water right next to a 26 foot channel

Good advice Jim. Almost every trip down I hear that tell tale motor rev up sound that only comes when a prop kicks up out of water.

I’d be out in the middle of that stuff picking out large stumps a clusters marking way points on them. I could probably fill up a SD card in those fields of stumps.
