Watts Bar 104,000 CFS and Chickmauga 140,000 CFS This is insane. Will we have any fish left? Imagine being a fish and going thru those floodgates! When will it end?

Don't forget us to the north but downstream. We get everything you guys throw away down there. They had just dropped the outflow at Ky Dam from most gates open. Doubt that lasts.

what was insane was spring of 2011. cfs at barkley was over 300,000 and water levels at over 372 which is near the top of the dam. caught fish in the front yard. didn't wash any carp away though.

Our biologists told us 2011 was one of the best spawning years because of the high water.

High water conditions are wonderful for great spawns as long as the geniuses at TVA and COE don’t pull the plug on the lakes as soon as the spawn happens. That has happened many more years than not. Of course both will tell you their only reason for being is flood control. They could care less about fish, fishermen or recreational boaters.

I can’t crawl the rocks like I did several years back. But......if I could, I would be below Pickwick pulling Smallies.......crappie......largemouth......bluegi ll....white bass......out by the 100’s. When they let out this much water the fish stack up in there by the thousands. I want to get in below dam at Center Hill to catch those giant black nose but the lake is at 638 and they have to drop it to 622 to install the new ramp on the lake side of dam....and once it gets to 622 I think they keep it there for several weeks to do the ramp. I’ll find some place to fish.....I hope....LOL.

    Regards
