    Default Dale Hollow on Wednesday

Sorry for the late report. Been busy making merry over the holidays! Caught 19 at Dale Hollow on Wednesday. Started about 11am and fished to 4pm. Pushing jigs with 1 oz weights, 20 ft deep in 23 to 24 FOW. Water was pretty murky. Out of the 19, had 12 decent fish.

Sounds like a good day. What's a decent fish at Dale Hollow?

Greenfish, the decent fish were 11 and 12 inches. One went about 13, but Dale Hollow crappie are thick crappie and usually put up a pretty good fight. Dale Hollow crappie are sometimes hard to locate, and when you do find them, there can be a ton of small fish, but there are big ones to be found. Last Spring, I watched a friend of mine catch back to back 3lb'ers. I wouldn't have believed it had I not seen in with my own eyes!

I was thinking maybe low density but high-quality. Sounds like a decent fishery for sure. I can't really imagine a three pounder, much less two in a row!
