Default Town creek off the Cape Fear 12/28

Fished Town Creek today for the first time since hurricane Florence. Caught 13 in about 1.5 hours before the rain hit, tightlining minnows in deeper holes. Very happy to see there are some fish left after all the reports of fish kills.

I was wondering how Town Creek was doing after the storm. It has been a couple of years since I was down that way. What stage of the tide do you have the best luck with when you are tightlining?

Caught them them on a falling high tide. Plan on trying my normal spots on the NE Cape Fear next to see how that fishery weathered the storm.

I won both tournaments I fished at Town Creek years ago. The first year I caught them in that grass bed on the left as you come up on the Snowfield community. The second year I caught them out from under a big dock on the right hand side, headed back towards 17.

I catch good numbers in there but the not many over 10 inches. But it holds some nice bream and shellcracker.
