Default Finding brush and structure with Helix

Do you fellas use more down imaging, side scan, or standard 2d when hunting brush piles and structure. I'm a bit overwhelmed with my Helix 10.
    Thank You,
    Mathieu

Side Imagining for structure and fish once found way point, then 2d or di to get right on top of them.

I like to use the sidescan to find the brush then switch over to 2d/di when fishing it.

SI for the win. Play with the frequencies while scanning. The the lower kHz shows up the shadows from brush better. It won't show the pile as good but the shadows from piles are easier to see than the piles themselves. See a shadow, up the kHz and get a closer look.

I have a Helix 9 SI Mega and I usually run the screen where I have the SI out to about 70 per side on top of each other and then the smaller DI and 2d view stacked on the left of the screen and can use all three views at once. If I see something I want to check out closer on any one view then I just bring that view up for the whole screen.

After checking out what I want to see I go back to my 3 view mode that I consider to be my search mode view.

That way works for me and switching between views is a one button operation.

I use side scan for locating brush and mark it . Then I have a map on one front unit linked to rear unit split screen . One map 10' scale other map side 100' scale . Second unit split screen on front with 30% sonar and 70% side scans set out at 30' . You can see both front units here . Both persons on bow can see what's going on . A friend copied my set up and was told side scan would not work on trolling motor . Just remember to return tolling motor straight ahead unless your moving and see both sides of boat .
