I've tried 3# trout leader and 2#. They're too difficult to manage in windy conditions. I like wally Marshall hi vis, but the last spool I got was bad.

I gave up on the Wally Marshall Hi-Viz some years ago. It got to where you never knew what you were getting. Their quality control seems to have went out the door. I went to Vicious because of it, and have been satisfied with their product, in all sizes. Their fluorocarbon isn’t a bad line either for those green carp.

I use a combination of 3 lines depending on technique. If I'm casting or jigging in clear water I go with 4# otherwise I'm jigging with 10/2 braid with a 6# leader. Tightlining or trolling its 6#. Trilene or viscious for fluoro/mono and power pro for braid. I prefer high vis for casting/shooting docks if clear water isn't an issue. Otherwise I go with the clear line

I use only 2 types, #6 low vis Trilene for Longlining, and #10 low vis Trilene for tightlining. Tried just about every line made and I only use The Berkley Trilene. Last longer and good knot strength.
    If you don't get hung every-once-n-a-while you ain't jigg'n it right..:D

I've been using the Viscous hi Vis 4 lb for several years. It was made in USA at one time, now I don't think so. I couldn't find any in late summer when I needed another spool,so I got the Mr Crappie. I long line with the 4 lb. The lake that I mostly fish isn't known for big fish, most of what I catch are not monster slabs,so the 4 works for me.
