We were up there on Tuesday and we were surprised at the number of bass fishermen we saw fishing. The wife caught one that was a lot of fun to fight. Name: KIMG0736.jpg

I went to GTO yesterday at lunch to get minners. I had to park at the building next door just to get a parking place. I'd bet there was 100 guys in there buying fishing tackle for that tourney. I talked to the owner and told him I'd be glad when all these folks left. He said, "shoot I won't, they're buying everything in the store." LOL

I cant wait to have my annual "YOU DONT OWN THE LAKE conversation with the green trouters I get splashed and threatened but remind them I got more rocks on the bank than they got in the boat. Havent had one threaten me with a gun yet , that might get interesting My favorite set up is to tell them how privilege I am they are choosing to fish in front and across from me as they have 69000 acres of water and in a boat and chose to fish in front or on top of me on the bank

I am heading down there Sat and will be waiting until Sunday or Monday to go get minnows from there once the tournament is over. I will use my Berkeley gulp minnows Sat until I can get down there without the crowds.

It does get a little sporty here, for sure! Thanks for the heads up on the tournament. Looks like I'll keep the kayak in the garage.

If you want minners Saturday and don't want to fight the crowd, drive to Perry's store on 227 just above town creek. Ms Perry is a really nice lady and has good minnows. She only has toughies. The crappie shiners at GTO are way too large. That's what I got yesterday and they are huge.

We usually get toughies at GTO. Thats what I've always had the best luck with.
