Ok I found all mine in deep water over 20 ft except one off a brush pile at a dock with about 17 ftw .. they seemed to be stacked at about 15... was using 1/32 and 1/16 baits... Very very slow presentation.... Didn't slay them but caught dinner.

We caught all fish vertical jigging ... very easy to find today , they were everywhere ... lots and lots of big arcs on the bottom, probably catfish I guess ... wind was calm til about 11 then about 5mph steady

We didn't slay them but we learned a little more today and the wife was successful vertical jigging... She always relied on live bait but she is getting into this jig fishing... we had a blast and it was a beautiful day to be on the water.

Garmin 7sv works perfect now that I unhooked the phone/cam charger

And just like that those crappie are history
Leftover squash casserole and a left over baked potato and some green beans... probably been 10 years since I ate crappie... as good as any fish out there

still not real good with the si yet... that water column screws me up, I get too close and can't get a good shot... I used to hardly ever pay any attention to a fish finder but these new ones will help someone out big time that is not used to fishing success

if u get to close it should show up in that blank space to either side of the centerline aswell as on di, dialed in correctly u will be able to skip over the ones devoid of fish and only hit the ones loaded with fillets
Thanks greenchicken thanked you for this post
