    Default Newbie to Crappie fishing from Md

    Hello all, part time Bass Angler here and looking to start a little pan fishing in the not so distant future. All of my equipment is geared towards bass fishing, rods, line, lures and what not. Question;
    I will be using a 30 size Spinning Reel with a med Fast Action Rod. What do you suggest I use for hook size and type along with what type of line and lb test?
    Thanks
    Gregg

    Most folks go for 2lb to 6lb test for crappie. Some like the high vis yellow line as if the bite is light you can see the line move easily to know when to set the hook. As for hooks it varies. I usually use #2 or #4 mostly.
