    Default 9-24-18 Tough day on Blackshear


    Fish were scattered and had a case of lockjaw, fish were in 10-15 ft on brush. but the wind got up and shut the bite down
    Water temps in the mid 80's still. Fish hit a variety of colors.
    Took these home, cleaned and fillet the for my elderly widow neighbor who has been wanting some fish.

    Going back Thursday and Friday, depending on weather.

    Looks good to me. 10-15' on brush, you say? I am trying to figure out a lake up north near me (HG Lathem res ), and will try throwing a jig in similar depth and cover. Water temp is also low 80s. I know there are slabs in here because a friend caught some big ones trolling minnows.
