I been going to my spring "hole" lately from the bank at first light, but I see at least 3-5 bald-faced hornets around the piers each time I go, so no thank you! Lol. But do you have a boat or are you banking it?
Yes I have boat, I like to night fish but with my job hard to get away to do, unfortunately I have to mainly fish on weekends if I’m lucky and fight the crowds

Oh, I totally understand. I work 2 jobs myself now and barely get out! I was just trying to go tonight, but I guess I'll just stay home and clean up my tackle box haha

I'm getting a Pelican Bass Raider 10 E in Febuary. I'll be on the water soon!

It looks like the cabin I used to rent is back up for rent now. They are asking $125 a night. I am not sure if the new owner does a discount for renting for a week or not. I used to rent it for $500 for 7 nights. Floating Cabin on Lake Guntersville. - VRBO

Yeah, I have a car that they say can't tow more than 1,000 (which is bs is you ask me) but whatever haha. I can do either a jon boat (which, um, no thanks!) or a v-hull aluminum small boat (which again, no thanks! Sitting in a v-hull all night fishing is brutal when you are 6'2 lol) or I can do like the Pelican Bass Raider. I know with the Raider, I don't need a big ole heavy trailer and don't have to worry about backing down a steep ramp. I can just get a dolly and yep! Good to go! At Academy, they have the boat for $599 and the trailer is $1,300???? Wow....I'll just get a utility trailer. I've been watching Raider Modification videos on YT and you can deck those suckers out! That's really all I need. I'm going to rent a storage unit to keep it in safe and out of the weather.

Yes sir! That is an awesome ride! A true blessing. My grandfather purchased a brand spanking new bass tracker pro back in 1996. He was going to leave it to me but had a stroke and well, there that went. My aunt and uncle who lived with him just let it sit up and rot. Sad. That's why I'm always on here trying to find someone with a boat to go Crappie fishing with. Hard to meet folks though that are willing to let you tag along. So...I'm going to get my very first boat this Spring with my tax money and I'll be living the Crappie life and chatting with my grandfather while doing so! God bless

I hear ya on the cost of boats. I had bought a Sea Eagle 9 inflatable boat before my dad gave me his. I didn't get to use the inflatable yet except for inflating it in the back yard once to check it out lol. It's a nice boat for being a inflatable. I feel ya on being cramped too. I am 6'5" and cars are hard fit for me sometimes so boats can be even worse!

Hope you get a chance to get out on the water soon. The cabins are attached to the boat house at Spring Creek Marina. I have seen many people walk out the dock and fish the boat slips and further out the dock. It's marked private but I've seen quite a few folks out there that were just fishing and nothing said to them. During this summer heat that shaded boat house might hold some crappie in the slips too!
Thanks Jiggah thanked you for this post
