Been working and lighting storms in the evenings haven't been. But you are welcome to join in Aug 18th out of Ebenezer around 7:30 pm for a night trip out on the lake for crappies. look at the post by ofishlbizzness

Tried Wylie tonight. Bugs were so thick. It was not worth staying.

Where in the world did you find bugs on Wylie? Most of the time they come around and then they disappear. How far from the bank where you and did you catch anything? Hate the bugs run you off from !
    Next weekend will be better.

About 100 yards from shore main channel down from Ebenezer landing. Didn’t catch a a thing. I have never seen bugs that thick. Tried to wait them out waited about an hour. Had enough of them. In ears nose ate a few. Arms were tired from sweating them.

Your lights, where were they located? We usually keep the lights low and over the sides and no light inside the boat area. They usually hit us at first then quickly move on or settle down on the side of the boat. Come on out with us next Saturday night and let's get it figured out. Be glad to help you enjoy the night life if I can.

Had some up high at 1st turned them off. Only thing left on was the lights under the side on water side of the boat.
Planning on it if I am in town.
