    In the spring time I’ve thrown a zoom tiny fluke with a bit of success. It was also prime fishing then so I had a bit more confidence throwing something different for a few casts at a time.

    3” is the tops for my fishing and it’s more or less for the weight with an 1/8 to 1/4 oz jig head. That’s for water where current is involved.
    I also use a minimum of a #1 hook.
    Where I fish it’s needed sometimes. Not often.

    I get shad out of crappie that are that big. I just bought some 2 1/2" Arkie tube jigs to try next spring. I'll use gnats and minnows
    this fall. If I like the 2 1/2" next spring, I'm going to order some 3". Been using 2" for years.
