Thread: Kids say the dardest things

Done got my boy liking to release fish back into the water by putting them slowly into the water back by the motor and they just kinda whirl around in the water for a while before they swim off.
So we're fishing together and having ourselves a grand ol time when the rod starts to look like a rainbow. I start reeling in another nice size crappie and I hear my boy say " I hope it's a small one so we can turn him back a loose ". What???? He said again " I hope he's a small one so that we can turn him back a loose". With a great amount of confusion in my eyes and a much bigger question in my heart if he really was my kid, I had to explain to him that we could turn the big ones back a loose to.
But all in all, I recon he might just be mine cause I like putting them back in the water too. I just don't ever want them to be small.
