Hilarious post. Sorry for your troubles. Go buy a 3 pack of lighters today and put one in in your boat, one in your tackle box, and one in the ashtray of your truck. A ThermaCell is also your friend, it will definitely help keep the hordes of mosquitoes at bay. You can also light paper off the flame in a pinch.

I leash my paddle and every rod & reel to the kayak. Can't get anywhere very fast paddling a kayak by hand. It only takes dropping one rod off a kayak to make you go buy or make leashes. Paracord works much better than nothing. I once had a big catfish rip the rod out of the holder, trying to drag it off, but the leash saved it. Fish went into a snag & pulled off the hook, but I kept my rod & reel.

I hope your next outing is lots better.

    That's hilarious.

And to think, some people question why the back seat of my crew cab truck looks like a Walmarks threw up back there. If I need it, it's back there. It doesn't matter what I need. It's there. Sort of like Santas bag.

I'm selling my kayak and never going night fishing again after reading that story. I understand the West Nile blood test is pretty cheap and odds are you need one.

Hopefully West Nile will cancel out the Lyme Disease that I'm sure I have by now from turkey hunting.
