Default Henderson..6/19...Cranking, A Trip To The Dark Side...

Daylight to 12:30...4 poles with crankbaits, one with shiner and one with white curly tail jig...trolled the entire length of Lake Bigeaux....caught the Striper (16") and 2 good sacs (12" plus) up North....gar kept me pretty busy....missed a lot of hits on the cranks....might have been gar hitting the lead weight sinker....gave that up late and went to the RR piling and picked up 2 more sacs on shiners under a cork....got caught in a rainstorm coming home....fish are there, just got to find them....fun day....going back tomorrow (Thursday)....not cranking...up at 4, launch at 5:30.....

From the looks of your setup are you pushing? I haven't been able to crack that nut yet. If you're new to crankbait fishing, make sure your drag is set right. If its too heavy, you'll miss some fish. Set it light. Sometimes I'll have to tighten it up when I catch one to reel him in. Then reset it when I set the bait back out. Nice catch!
Only need three more years before I can think like a fish.

I heard they were catching good numbers in Pelba last week. You may want to try there on your next trip. On the drop offs.

    Way to go!

We call that "striper" - bar fish (white bass). They travel in schools. When you catch one ,stop, then cast around the area, making as much racket as you can with the lure.
