I'm running a Helix 7 si on my trolling motor. I'm am more than satisfied with the split screen 2d and map. You can get that unit with just the 2d and GPS I'm pretty sure. Not a bad price point either.

I've got a Helix 9 MEGA SI at the console and need a unit up front. I would like for it to interface with the Ulterra. I definitely want it to be able to use my Lakemaster card. I would love for it to work with the built in transducer on my Ulterra but I don't know if there is a unit that will do what I want and hook to the built in ducer. I know that will limit me to 2D but that would be okay.
I may go with the 9 DI but then I'd have to use a bracket like Rickies Da-ducer. I have an old, small bow mount trolling motor and I could use that for a transducer mount. Obviously I'd remove the TM and put a pipe in it's place to mount the ducer to.
But that's just gonna add a whole lot of clutter to my bow that I don't really want, so...
Is there a good unit with a big enough screen to split and see the map and 2d, that will work with the supplied transducer on my Ulterra?
I still think it is absolutely ridiculous that MK doesn't offer their TM's with a ducer upgrade.

Any of the HELIX G2N units will network with HELIX MEGA and share everything except maps ...

Thanks Rickie. Is there a large screen H'bird unit that will work with the built in ducer on the Ulterra? I "think" that I've read that the chirp can't be used with that ducer.
Cheapest option that will share the most with your MEGA unit would be a HELIX CHIRP Sonar GPS G2N in 7", 9", 10" or 12" ...
CHIRP is a function of the head unit ... So US2 can CHIRP ...

Why don't networked units share maps?
