    Default State campgrounds

Someone give me lowdown on the camper pads at the grenada Lake. I know there are people that park a camper there in the spring every year, and leave them till fall. But according to Reserve America, you can only reserve a pad 48 hours in advance. Am I confused? Do any of y’all do long term camping at any of the lakes?

I know several years ago the all summer campers would swap pads every week or so. Didn't seem fair to me but it wasn't against the rules. Might still be that way

A percentage of sites are reserve only . The other 40 % are first come first serve . You are not allowed more than ten days without an extension (which is no problem for another 10 ) After that you must change by rule . Most will grant further stay if you are not on a premiere site that has high use . Reserved sites can be used for over night if no one on it .

If you are on a reserve pad you can stay for 14 days. If on one has reserved it within the next 2 weeks you can ask for an
extension and stay 2 more weeks. This must be done 3 days prior to day the extension would start. If you are on a walk on
you can ask for the extension and stay 2 more weeks. This also would have to be done 3 days prior. After you have stayed
28 days you have to vacate that campground. You can however go to another campground on the same lake and apply the
same deal on the second one. When you vacate a campground you only have to be off of it for 2 weeks before you can return.
They first said you could only have one extension per campground per year. They now say per trip. I am only talking about
the Big 4 corps lakes. I don't know how the state handles their sites.
    Tell'em I'll be there.

Another new rule. No more golf carts unless you are handicapped and the only one that can drive it is the handicapped person.
