Default Just a bored nobody bank fisherman with a ?

Another crazy question. Theres no reason for me to fish now so im gonna spend my time again trying to learn. Do crappie come back to the same place most every year?i found a few spots this year that i found on my own just by riding and looking. I caught more this year than i have in my couple years of crappie fishing. Just wondered if they come to the same spots as a rule.

Stay at em they may be their now ! if the bait is their that will help but it don’t have to be always also a lot of males will hang up shallower than you think according to Ronnie Capps he says males will stay up sometimes till june or July maybe try that spot the last or first hour of light

I can't answer your question about them returning to the same spot each year, but I'd imagine that they would.

I do have a question though...

Why is there no reason for you to fish now? There's still some crappie shallow, but more importantly you can catch fish from the bank 12 months a year. They may not be crappie, but you can fish for catfish, or bluegills or even ditch pickles.

I've been catching in the same place since I started chasing them. From the back around bridges. As it heats up, it just hit or miss.

Just stay them. Remember what you did when you had success. And keep doing it.

I seem to catch them in the same places unless something changes. If the cover or what ever was holding them is gone you may not catch them there anymore. As far a bank fishing go's I didn't have a boat most of my life but there's places you can catch them later in the year. It is hard the hotter it gets but it can be done. I use to take advantage of what ever was biting before I had a boat. (catfish, stripe bass, bass.) I would almost bet I could catch a few below Neely Henry dam right now, maybe smaller crappie but you never know. Try night fishing to. You would be surprised how close to the banks they will come if you have a light hung out over the water .

They go back to same area every year. Replenishing cover helps hold them there. No doubt
