    Back in the 60's and early 70's there was a cafe and bait shop located where Drydocks is now at on the Yalobusha side of Grenada. The two owners back then we're first Mr. Marter then Mr. Koonce. They both rented boats and motors. A few years before Mr. Koonce sold to Billy James, he closed the cafe and quit renting boats. I'm guessing this would have been about 1972, if I remember it right.

    I sold Mr. Matters son Chris an Xpress bay boat a year or two ago. Mr. Marter used to also own the little grocery store/Bait shop on the corner in Gore Springs.

    Judging from the age of my aunt and uncle I'm thinking the first pic at Grenada was around 1962-63.

    Bad thing is: their out fishing us and we got $10,000 worth of fish finding stuff on our boat.
