Thread: A HOT mess .....

that's right ,you heard it here , a big ole HOT mess .....a 6 year old in a great swimming hole , sun beating down like a toaster oven on broil and a crowd to beat the band to add the list ,AND on final note I couldn't ketch even ONE lil crappie !
only thing cold was the waters in the ice chest and the fish that wasn't in tune with entertaining the masses very much
the wife and did shifts on swimming and ketching and ketched a few small bluegill and bass ,but to be sure the fish were NOT easy and getting pummeled by the masses on the fishing dock .
did get to see one rod get jerked in by a big fish though ....
and also seen a kid ketch a 3 lb bass on a live bluegill ...
and probably the best episode of the trip on the ketchn ,was the folks sitting about 40 foot from some set out rods in the shade across the road watching them .....as I drove by I saw one rod bent double and something jerking the fire out of it ...I stopped the truck and got out and said hey there sir ... you have a fish on the green rod pulling like heck
he said what ...I said you have a fish on that green rod ...and he said ....what AGAIN .....
then wandered across the road ....and I pointed to the jerking rod and said ....THAT rod sir
well we sat in the truck in the ac and watched him duke it out with a nice channel cat and he said thanks for letting me know
I looked at my wife as we drove off and said how could you sit in a lawn chair and watch them rods and not see that bite ?
him and his wife were watching the 3 rods ? it wasn't a meager thing either ...had the bole bent down hard ?
anyway that's the story in a nutshell and we swam till we was water logged and down the road we went to visit my dad ...
he was Korean war vet and his grave is out that a way in the country ....
we stopped by and said howdy and put out a flag we did ....
and the lil said I needed to kiss his head stone when we left to say good bye....
bought made me cry ....

Mama does well when left alone to just ketch fish .....she can do some damage for sure on fish lips
and requires zero help from me to do so ....
