    How long do you use a color lure before you change to a different color.I fish off of a dock. I stay with a color for long

    time, maybe too long.

    I'm still a novice as well, but if I know there's fish in the area and am getting short strikes or none at all, time to change color. Sometimes it works, sometimes not.
