Reaping the fruits of harvest. Nice. Today's young people care nothing about it. If you can't take it out of the fridge and
pop it in the mic'ie they don't need it. I still call a refrigerator an ice box.

I did my morning walk after we had a little light rain. Everything looked so nice and fresh. Enjoy.

Tell'em I'll be there.
You are still getting mulberries? Ours finished up 2-3 weeks ago. I did pick the last of my blackberries yesterday but the blueberries are ripening well.

Ok now that I look at the picture closer, I see they are blackberries. Thornless?

Dwayne the mulberries have been gone for a few weeks but the blackberries are going strong. They are thornless Arapaho and Navaho. We going to a friends house next week for blueberries.

Excellent Gene! Very nice and well done. We will be having our home grown sliced tomatoes this evening with Balsamic vinaigrette on them. Nothing like tomatoes grown at home. Enjoyed your post - thanks.

Kirk the tomatoes are Goliath "Pio". Large and meaty and almost blemish free. The blackberries are good. If you let them ripen until they come off easy they are sweet. Other wish they can be tart. This is my fist crop for them and so far I'm pleased. I have one Arapaho and one Navaho growing in the same bed. Since they have grown together I can't tell the difference by looking at them or tasting. If I get a chance I'll try to follow a cane from the base of each and see if I can find a difference. I also have another in the same bed. It's a thorny one called Kiowa. It flowered very early about the time we had freezes and no bees were out. Either the lack of pollination or the freezes caused the berries to be small and not much taste. It's supposed to be one of the sweetest and largest berries. It didn't prove anything to me this year. I will leave it for one more season to see if it improves, if not out it will go.

Looks good. Hard to beat homegrown veggies. Just getting going up this way. Anxious for some homegrown tomatoes.
