I’m going and taking couple local rednecks. Don’t say anything about one of them being short but I’m bringing a bumper seat.

Until they admit it’s affecting the fishing I’m not going.

I don’t know what the answer is but they’ve had 15 years to study. It’s time for some action.

Catching carp is very tedious & nasty work. My biggest problem has been finding someone to help! One can do it alone, but getting nets out is a real pain by oneself & running (TAKING fish out) of the nets in a wind is tough unless an experienced person is on the motor or trolling motor.
Carp are a lot smarter fish than people think too. They learn to go around or avoid the nets very quickly, thus one needs to move & rearrange nets at least every 3 days. Nets get torn up & must be repaired.
I have only 1000 ft of nets (3 each of 330 ft nets) which cost $1000 to have made,$300 each.
Goog thing is they don't have to be deep. 6 to 8 will do, 10 - 12 ft better. Gill nets work OK, but trammels will catch more fish, but cost more & are more trouble/work.
Having ICE is no 1 problem, especially in warm weather. Plus it can get expensive quick! One load of fish, a 1000 pounds takes 1000 #'s of ICE!!
12 to 15 cents a pound won't hardly pay for gas, much less ICE & labor.. 30 cents is my get out the nets price. Buffalo bring $0.75 !!
