Nice mess of gills and some pretty colored shell crackers. Way to go, keep us posted, right now I am too busy at work to get away and go.

I made a trip to Town Creek exploring yesterday. Kept half a limit of gills and returned many, many more. The fish were scattered with only a couple locations shallow showing bedding gills. I returned many Shellcrackers, including two that were over 12 inches. The water is clear with visibility of 12 to 18 inches. 68 degrees at daylight and warming into the mid to upper 70s by afternoon. best bait was the 1" slider on the 1/32oz jig head.
I fished hard but didn't find any Crappie.

Looks like a fun day I been finding crappie on the other end of Wilson under docks in 12 to 20 ft. of water.

Very nice!
Too blessed to be stressed!
I thought maybe I'd figured out the Shellcracker on artificial thing well enough to get a few in Town Creek, Bob D has been telling me to give it a try for years.
I found some old brush in 10 feet of water, brought a dozen Shellcrackers to the boat off of it including two over 12 inches. I also had three break off that were probably Redears. I have a feeling there's some monsters in there, LOL.
Nice trip Ditch!
good report and nice mess
Thanks for the report. I think the biggest shellcracker in this area comes from their. Have some good memories of town creek. The crappie in their are huge as well. Wish you could still launch a boat there or double head resort would let the public. I’d pay a fee if needed.
