Haven't been to Green but talked to a friend that fished Monday and Tuesday. Caught a lot of fish but few would measure. 2 of them wound up with 15 keepers. Larger fish were out from the bank. Smaller ones on the bank 18" deep.

With all the rain we’ve had, anyone think Green will be good to fish in the morning?

Fished Tuesday. Two people. Caught tons of fish in the 6-8 inch size. Finished with 22 keepers on Minnows. Water temp 65 degrees.
Water at 71 today near Emerald Isle. Small fish wore us out. Not a single fish we cleaned had eggs. None caught from the bank. Better sized fish found in 20ft of water 12ft deep. Good water color where we were.
Caught 15 keepers from 2-6 pm today near Emarald as well. Fished 12' deep in 16-18 FOW. Second spot muddied up on me and stopped the bite. Mostly males. Cleaned 2 females with eggs and 1 spawned out. Caught that many more short males. All males were in Tuxes.
Took my son out Saturday, we caught 50 and brought back 28 of the largest 11-12 inch. We had to leave by 10:30 AM, but he still had a great time. We caught them 2-4 and 9-10 ft. over brush, mostly on minnows. We only caught 2 females, rest where males. I really don't understand this.

That's weird. 95% of the fish I cleaned last Tuesday were full of eggs. None came off the bank shallow though. Mostly 9 To 12 feet deep.

I did some checking and the thought is , males guarding the nest. The two females where caught in deeper water.
