Great days on Chickamauga with family
I had blast catching some crappie with my wife and two daughters last weekend. We targeted brush in 15 fow. We vertical jigged over the brush. The girls picked their lures and the crappie were presented with a pink jig buffet. Interestingly there was a variety of shades of pink presented but a definite hot lure. I give credit to my wife who chose the Mo Glo 3" slab slayer in the pink phantom color which brought most the crappie to the boat.
Caught a nice 14.5" white that was oozing eggs.
The girls had a blast and Dad was happy to be on the water enjoying the beautiful weather.
I had another quick trip with my brother this afternoon. Another beautiful day. We spent a lot of time trying to find any late spawners that were still shallow. No luck for us shallow so we changed tactics. Didn't catch many fish today but did catch a few off a dock in 10 fow including a nice 13.5" white crappie. Fish came on a PA S&P silver phantom and chartreuse tail on 1/16 oz jig. Water temp warmed up to the low 70s during the day.
