    Thanks for your service, Welcome to CDC & South Carolina. Good looking kayak, you are going to be around some great fishing waters. There are kayak clubs all over the state if you are interested in joining one. All here will help you with all the info we have to share with you.

    As mentioned earlier Sumter is close to the upper east side of Lake Marion and the Sparkleberry area is a Kayakers paradise. It's also gator paradise, but I've yet to hear of any issues between the two.
    My BIL retired from USAF and settled in Sumter. He passed away several years ago, but until he passed he was in Sparkleberry 5 out of 7 days every week.
    Talk to the Pack boys at Pack's Landing. They can get you pointed in the right direction.

    Welcome to the neighborhood and thank you for your service!! My home lake is wateree, but I also fish santee a lot. If your looking for a good kayak club, Plastic Navy Kayak Club is on facebook and I know a couple of guys in the club that would love to have you
