It’s all about the gulp scented juice they are packed in, Ive noticed they work great in northern lakes and rivers I’ve also done good with em in small ponds

You can catch alot of fish on one of the gulp minnows. When it starts drying, or you notice catch rate dropping, take it off and put back in bag. Replace with a new one. They will "rejuvenate", you can use it again later, even if they've completely dried.
They are quite durable also, have a good resistance to tearing.
Rigging - like a jig, through the nose, whatever you like. Take the bobber off and swim them. There is no wrong way to fish them. Actually there is, don't use them!

Hi, just a thought, you might try a loop knot on those. Gives bait more movement. Nice job, I'm going to try them

    Default Gulp!

OK.....here's my experience with this product. Three years ago, I set up a season long test on drop shotting smallmouth bass. Had one rod rigged exclusively with Gulp! and the second with my most productive smallie bait, the Roboworm. Both nose hooked, both drop shotted the same way. I would always start out using the Gulp! while my partner would use regular plastics.

Invariably, he would do most of the catching. Usually after 2 or 3 hours of total frustration, I would switch back to regular plastics and I'd start catching bass again....and again.....and again! Rarely would I catch one on Gulp! Add to that that this product dries out very fast, loosing any natural action as found in most plastic offerings these day. After taking a beating for that one season, I can tell you this much, I'll never use Gulp! on smallmouth bass again.

Not to say that it would not work on crappie though? Something I've never tried. However, I've had such great success using CB Sliders and Bobby Garland's Baby Shads (along with various other plastics) that all the praise in the world cannot convince me that Gulp! is better. Not unless a fellow angler was using the regular plastics and not catching anything. I may set up another test season (or part season) as I did for the smallmouths, but it's doubtful at this point.

Fact remains that primarily crappie are sight feeders, with scent being secondary. JMO!
