Gentlemen,
Let us now turn once again to the business of catching Crappie.
I have designed a new lure called the Wylie Minnow Mate.
After getting smoked by Charles once again , I went be to the drawing board. Fact is this year on Wylie minnows seem to be a necessity.
But instead of a bare hook , the Minnow Mate adds a dash of flash and color while showing the entire minnow. Irresistible for even the most discerning Crappie.

big allison clear, beaver dam strong stained
fished BD got 13 Crappi and 1 perch
As for the minnow mate lure, got several on them including on nice 1 3/4 pounder.
Long lines out caught down rods. But down rods caught biggest fish in general.
Next time I'll use 6 long and 2 down.
On longlines best was a monkey's milk and chartreuse tail jig . Minnows on everything. Remember I was in heavy stained water but not muddy.
