I have a box of ultra light hard plastics and one thing I have to mention. have the drag set light as the hooks on them are very small. I've had some really nice fish on, even alongside the boat, to have them pull loose because the hook was only in skin like membranes. Fun while it lasted just the same but a picture would have been nice. Everything hits em.

I like the rebel grasshopper crank bait. And as mentioned above fish very slow on surface with light twitching and pauses

Nothing but trees and tall grass where I fish. Use grasshoppers sometimes as bait. If I can catch them. It's a good time until the chiggers find a home in me legs.

You ever use a girdle bug or an ant

Almost any fly that works for trout will also work for bluegill. They're both "bug eaters".

I always keep a couple of size 14 black ants in my tackle box. I suspend them under a small bobber with a small split shot and let them drift with the wind and catch a lot of good bluegills that way.
