I was watching Richard Gene today and he was using a Ted Williams 310.
    Made in Italy.

I don't think it was extremely old. He gave it to me in the mid '60s and I think it was about 5 or 10 years old then.

D.A.M. Quick reels were very good, German made and pretty popular among (knowledgable) anglers, like me for example. lol
I had a 330, 2 220s and a 110. A couple are still around and i should gather them up and sell them.

I love the old stuff because I'm old lol. I have fond memories of the Johnsons and the South Bends which I thought were stout as a young man.

Yep, have one of those in 6'6" from early 70s, used a Quick 220 on that.
Also have same vintage Fenwick casting rod in 6' with a red Ambassador 5000 on it.

I had a light weight 2 piece fiberglass Fenwick rod that I used my Quick 220N with. I loved using it in the mountains near Lake Tahoe to catch trout in the streams. Good memories.

Never could afford a Johnson when I was a kid. Had one I liked better and only thing in my life my dad ever bought me. It was one of the old Bronson that had the drag knob that came out the front through middle of spool cover. Was smoothest drag of any push button reel I have ever used. This was in the 50's. after I hounded the navy first thing I bought was a Ted Williams and a 5.6 Ted Williams rod. Used it all over South Carolina
