Hello, so as I am in the process of acquiring my new boat I found out the guy is leaving his humminbird platinum ID fish finder on it.
I know it is an older unit but my question is, is it still worth using? I have a Garmin striker 4cv that Im going to put back by the steering wheel for navigation purposes, but on the front of the boat I now have a choice between the larger but older humminbird platinum ID, or my newer but smaller Garmin 151dv
Does anyone have any experience with the platinum ID? What would you do in this situation. Thanks
Jesse

Still debating between the old humminbird platinum ID OR MY GARMIN 141dv for the front of my boat. I will be mounting it to a minn Kota powerdrive with ipilot.
Question, can I use this type of transducer on my trolling motor? If not, where else can I mount it on the front of the boat that it wont get broken?
I really want to use it but Im thinking I may be better off using my Garmin since I KNOW it will go on my trolling motor. Ive had it on 2 before

AD XTM 9 adapter should work with that xducer ...

You will need to consider xducer cable management for the TM ...
