High muddy water. Catfish are probably biting not sure crappie will till the lake settles down after all this rain. Water temp last week was 46 around 154.

Thinking about making the 4hr drive down to Rend next week. Any reports would be appreciated.
I fished last weekend. Did NOT do much. water temp was 49 - 50 only 13 keepers in a day and a half of fishing. Tried all kinds of places, shallow, deep, in the buck brush. Didn't see many boats either. The fish I caught were right on the bottom in 13 ft of water. No fish caught is the brush. Used Jigs and minnows. Minnows seemed to do better than the jigs.
Just got back from a week's trip down there... Officially the WORST fishing I've ever seen. 3 guys, 6 days, 5 fish biggest being around 7 inches. Water is way high right now and water temps are still in the high 40's. That lake won't be any good for at least 2 or 3 weeks. Crappies are stacked up like cordwood in the old river channel near the 154 bridge, but good luck getting any to bite. Had fun spending a week with my Dad and Cousin though, can't beat that!
It's is slow but there are fish to catch you just have to put it in front of there face! If your able I would recommend waiting a little wile.
Here's what we caught today. Had to work for them for sure.

I need to get back down there. Haven't fished anywhere since I lost my fishing buddy two years ago. I'm talking about my wife who passed away. It's just not the same.
