    Default Wardens on the job

Wardens wrote several tickets for short fish at little river marina yesterday afternoon. On Gewber got 7 tickets for 7 shorts. These guys get criticized sometimes for what we see as non enforcement but they are spread very thin in Cherokee County and really do their best.

Wardens on the job. They get a lot of grief from folks that break the laws and those who think they aren’t doing their job. Takes a special person to do a thankless job.

That’s an encouraging report for sure. I believe the inability to enforce state game laws effectively is the primary reason for anglers perceived notion of a shortage of good crappie.

Wish there would of been one on Neely Tuesday, had a single boater 8 gunning out the front. It’s always good to here and see the wardens/ water patrol out doing their job. Wish we had more around, up in Ky we had 3-4 times as many and most know us and just waved and went on. They knew we were in compliance of the rules and the law.

I can't remember the last time I saw a game warden. I wish there was a way to get them more resourses but it seems this state has other priorities.
Maybe they should allow all law enforcement officers to enforce state regulations.
