Always hear about Grenada and many folks want to change some lakes in Louisiana's regulations to mimic Grenada's regs. Here are the results from the Crappie Masters trail. Darbonne Lake had horrible conditions day two but still almost the top 50 people caught a two day limit of fish. Grenada only 7 people caught a two day limit of fish. Quality or quantity?

Grenada !
There was a month difference in the dates also. It was windy for both tournaments but the wind has more effect on a Granada....

I am sure there were alot of sub 12 inch fish weighed in at The Bone that were not able to be weighed in at Grenada. So comparison is not really true. As a matter of fact the average weight fish at the bone was probably less than what a 12 grenada crappie weighs.....1.33lbs
There is a lot of Difference in the two lakes as Granada is an old Ox-bow and most fish were caught on structure placed there. Having the minimum size has had an effect on the age of the fish caught there ---- D' Arbonne is still full of flooded timber and 90% of the fish were in the river channel in February. At the request of the lake Commission they reduced the limit to 25 for a few years until the Dept of wildlifes shocking showed it did not have any effect on the numbers or size of the fish sampled and changed the limit back to 50 .... If the minimum size was raised for 10 years, things might really change in the catches.
You are right I got my lakes mixed up..
